Scherman Renovation
After many years of planning and dreaming, these empty nesters were ready to renovate their kitchen and dining space to be more open and welcoming for their grown children and grandchildren. By removing the wall between kitchen and dining, the space was opened up for better workflow, whether its just the two of them, or if they’re in there baking with the grand kids.
Lahr Renovation
This young family was tired of their dark cramped kitchen. Windows turned into sliding doors, providing a much-needed way to the grill, and the doorway into the dining room shifted, allowing us to frame the opening with cabinetry. The island welcomes family and friends and serves as the center piece for prep work.

I’m Lauren - the founder and designer behind Boyd Design. With a degree in Interior Design and a passion for thoughtful, functional spaces, I started Boyd Design because I truly love creating environments that are designed for living.
I believe great design goes beyond aesthetics. It’s about how a space supports your daily routines, welcomes your family, and enhances the way you experience your home. Kitchens and bathrooms, in particular, play such an important role in everyday life, and I’m passionate about designing them with intention, beauty, and purpose.
